June 2021 Editor's Letter

I’m so excited to welcome back the LCHS Newspaper! We have a lot of fascinating articles to share that were written by a team of extremely talented and hardworking writers.

Summer tends to reveal the true interests of students as we are given the opportunity to indulge in our own set of hobbies. Some of us might hike or stay inside, watching a movie. Some of us will intern somewhere, or play a sport. Some may even just spend the summer catching up on sleep (no judgement there).

This June issue intensifies our diverse backgrounds and interests as there are a multitude of hobbies out there. Of course, this time of the year is all about accepting and celebrating diversity as we enter Pride Month. Filled with rainbow-themed celebrations and marches, Pride Month also recognizes and cherishes the differences in our identities that make us whole.

Now, as I write this, I realize that while welcoming the arrival of the newspaper, we’re also wishing a bittersweet farewell to the Class of 2021. Best of luck and well wishes to all of you!

Last but not least, I would like to thank the newspaper team in making this all happen. Your dedication and determination is recognized and appreciated (especially when I bugged you all incessantly to join the meets - sorry not sorry). And also thanks to Mr. Jeffery for not complaining about the slew of emails I have bombarded him with over the past month.

And to everyone else, have an amazing summer break!

Sincerely,

Udaya
